Synopsis
A humble pedagogy professor Vesna, turns into an accidental media star when she agrees to deliver a speech at a student protest under the influence of alcohol. Declared as one of the country’s POWERFUL WOMEN by the American Embassy, she is invited to participate in a show at the United States residence celebration of International Women’s Day for her country’s social and political elite. From there, events will take an unexpected turn…

Srđan Dragojević
Srdjan Dragojevic was born in 1963. in Belgrade. He graduated Clinical Psychology and Film Directing. Author of the 8 feature films and 8 books for grown-up’s and the kids. His books for kids “Poopwille”, “Poopking” and “Winged childhood” are among the bestsellers for the kids in Ex-Yu region. Professor at Film Academy in Belgrade 2000-2004. MP at Serbian Parliament, 2012-2015. Director of more than 150 commercials.
His films are some of the most successful Serbian films ever. His film “Pretty Village, Pretty Flame is among 1000 best films of all time in Halliwell’s film encyclopedia and among 30 best war films in history, according to Sight&Sound critics. “The Parade” was a huge box office hit in Europe in 2012 after receiving three awards at Berlinale. His latest film “Heavens Above” had premiere at Locarno Film Festival 2021.
