A stranger enters a local bar which serves as a daily hangout for the guys from a nearby betting shop. The stranger leaves a box there. He asks them to keep an eye on it, but without opening it. However, curiosity takes the upper hand, and they open it. When the stranger catches them in the act, the situation becomes complicated. While the audience agrees that the stranger is in the right, they are curious as well. The fact that the ‘bad guys’ in the movie are driven by the same urge as the viewers places the audience in an ambivalent position.
